A new earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 has struck south of Al-Shirqat in Iraq’s Saladin Province, according to an announcement from the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismological Monitoring on Sunday. This event adds to the region's recent seismic activity, which has raised concerns among local residents. The earthquake was recorded approximately 4 kilometers west of the Al-Zawiya subdistrict in Saladin. While the tremor was mild, it was felt by those living in the area, prompting a swift response from the authorities.
