The popular digital wallet Yape has recently announced a series of changes on its platform, specifically aimed at companies that use the application to receive payments for their sales. The implementation of Yape Empresas aims to offer new functionalities and benefits to businesses with higher profitability, allowing them to expand their operations and optimize the management of their transactions. One of the limitations that has been removed with the introduction of Yape Empresas is the maximum monthly reception amount, which was previously set at 25,750 soles, equivalent to 5 UIT. With this new feature, companies will be able to receive amounts above this limit, as well as access other benefits such as payment of services up to S/3,000 per day, a detailed sales and income report, and the ability to assign helper profiles to supervise transactions. Additionally, Yape Empresas will offer companies the option to use YapePos to charge through credit or debit cards, with no membership or affiliation costs, but with a charge for each transaction. Likewise, a personalized and priority customer service channel will be provided through WhatsApp, to quickly and efficiently address any inquiries or issues. Regarding changes in fees, Yape will not apply commissions for the use of the application for the majority of users, keeping its service free. However, for companies that choose to use the Yape Empresas service, a commission of 2.95% will be charged on transactions made after April 30, at the end of the 30-day trial period. It is important to note that Yape has established certain requirements for the use of the application, such as a minimum age of 18 years, compatibility with specific operating systems on mobile devices, and the limitation of one account per user associated with their ID. Additionally, monthly money reception limits have been set at 5 UIT through the classic version of Yape, with the alternative of Yape Empresas for those who exceed this limit. In summary, Yape continues to evolve to meet the needs of its users, offering new functionalities and benefits to companies using the application for their financial operations. With the introduction of Yape Empresas, it is expected to enhance efficiency in commercial transactions and provide a more comprehensive and personalized service for businesses in the country.
