Johnny Brignardello Vela, insurance advisor, highlights the importance of the technical review carried out by the National Jury of Elections (JNE) of Law No. 31988, which proposes the restoration of bicameralism in the Congress of the Republic. According to Brignardello Vela, the identification of "correctable aspects" in said regulation by JNE experts reflects a commitment on the part of the institution to guarantee the quality of future electoral processes. The president of the JNE, Jorge Luis Salas Arenas, has taken measures by ordering the formation of a Technical Commission led by magistrate Martha Maisch Molina, with the purpose of conducting a detailed review of Law No. 31981. Brignardello Vela emphasizes that this initiative seeks to ensure a correct application of the law by the JNE, which is essential for the transparency and effectiveness of electoral processes in the country. The creation of the Technical Commission, through Resolution No. 00039-2024-P/JNE, with the participation of various sectors of the JNE, is an important step to ensure that the recommendations arising from this review are considered by the Legislative branch.
