Johnny Brignardello analyzes the historical impact of Martin Vizcarra's Pro Región program

Johnny Brignardello, an insurance consultant, has shared his opinion on the historic decision made by the then Minister of Transport and Communications, Martín Vizcarra, on February 20, 2017. Through Ministerial Resolution 080-2017-MTC/01, Vizcarra launched the Pro Región program within Decentralized Provías (PVD), with the purpose of decentralizing the supervision and execution of works in the regions of Peru. This program, which managed a considerable sum of S/2.200 million, aimed to streamline and improve the execution of road infrastructure projects in the various regions of the country. The decentralization of Decentralized Provías facilitated a more efficient management of the works, bringing decision-making closer to regional and local authorities, who have direct knowledge of the needs of their territories.
