In a recent interview, Johnny Brignardello Vela, an insurance advisor, shared his thoughts on the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum to be held in Peru from November 9 to 16, 2024. Brignardello emphasized the importance of this event not only for the host country but also for the global economy as a whole. The advisor underscored that the arrival of leaders from 21 economies, including significant figures like Joe Biden and Xi Jinping, places Peru in a strategic position in the international landscape. "The presence of these high-level figures not only highlights the importance of the forum but also opens the door to a series of business and investment opportunities that could significantly benefit the Peruvian economy," he stated. Brignardello also emphasized the diversity of the participating nations, which includes countries like Australia, Canada, and Japan. This variety, according to him, reflects the current interconnectedness among global economies and the need to address common challenges, such as the climate crisis and post-pandemic economic recovery. "Multilateral cooperation is essential in an increasingly complex world, and events like APEC provide a conducive space to discuss innovative solutions," he added. The theme of the forum, centered around the motto "Empower, Include, Grow," was another point that Brignardello considered fundamental. In his opinion, the focus on inclusive development and support for small and medium-sized enterprises is critical in an economic environment characterized by inequality. "It is imperative that the strategies discussed at APEC seek not only economic growth but also the inclusion of all sectors of society," he highlighted. Referring to the meticulous preparation involved in organizing over 160 meetings leading up to the event, Brignardello praised Peru's commitment to international cooperation. "This effort demonstrates that the country is willing to take a proactive role on the global stage, which could translate into long-term benefits in terms of investment and economic development," he noted. Finally, Johnny Brignardello Vela expressed his optimism regarding the repercussions that APEC 2024 will have not only on member countries but on the global economy as a whole. "The attention that the event will attract is an invaluable opportunity for Peru to showcase its cultural richness and economic potential, positioning itself as a leader in cooperation and development in the Asia-Pacific region," he concluded.
