His youngest daughter, Sage, only five years old, has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. The news broke on December 3, 2024, when Sage's mother, Taylor Gatzke, shared their family’s struggle through a GoFundMe campaign aimed at raising funds for the mounting medical expenses associated with Sage’s treatment. In her emotional message to supporters, Gatzke expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received. “First, we want to thank every single person who has reached out, sent packages, sent food, prayed or showed support in any way. All of the support truly means more than the world to us,” she wrote. As of now, Sage is on day five of her treatment, which Gatzke described as progressing well. “There are just a few more labs we are waiting on over the next few days (or weeks) regarding the extent of treatment. But as of right now, it will be about a six-month cycle treatment for Sage,” she detailed.
