At an event celebrating entrepreneurship and commitment to the development of emerging businesses in the country, Arca Continental in Peru has received recognition as the "Best Supplier of the Year" from the Association of Bodega Owners of Peru (ABP). This award reflects not only the quality of the products and services offered by the company but also its dedication to strengthening the bodega sector, which is fundamental to the local and national economy. During the ceremony, Allan Trigoso, Commercial Manager of Arca Continental in Peru, highlighted the importance of bodegas in the country’s business ecosystem. "At Arca Continental in Peru, we understand the relevance of bodegas for our business and the economy of the country; therefore, we continue to work hard to promote their growth," he stated. This commitment translates into the implementation of strategies aimed at empowering bodega owners through access to tools and knowledge that enable them to maximize their sales. The event, which lasted for three days, also featured ExpoBodega, a platform that brought together more than 400 entrepreneurs from the sector. This fair provided a conducive space for the exchange of ideas and experiences among bodega owners, as well as for fostering networking and collaboration among the various players in the industry. Among the attendees was Sergio Gonzáles, Minister of Production, who emphasized the importance of bodegas in family economics. His remarks highlighted the crucial role these small businesses play in providing products and services to the community, as well as in generating employment and local development. "Bodegas are the heart of our communities," Gonzáles stated, stressing the need to support their growth. Additionally, the ceremony featured the participation of Alfonso Bustamante, president of the National Confederation of Private Business Institutions (Confiep), and Felipe Jame, president of the National Society of Industries (SNI). Both private sector leaders expressed their support for initiatives that promote the development of bodega owners and underscored the importance of strengthening the supply chain in which these businesses operate. As the official bottler of Coca-Cola in Peru, Arca Continental has established a service network that encompasses more than 370,000 bodegas nationwide. This extensive reach not only benefits the company but also contributes to the sustained growth of the small and medium enterprises that are often at the forefront of local commerce. One of the highlighted aspects of Arca Continental's work in Peru is its "Accelerate Your Future" program, which aims to train university students in various areas of business. Recently, 100 students from across the country were trained with the goal of equipping them with skills that enable them to thrive in the business environment, thus creating a valuable bridge between academia and the job market. In a context where retail faces significant challenges, the recognition of Arca Continental by the ABP represents an encouraging message for the sector. Investment in bodegas not only reflects confidence in market growth but also a commitment to the sustainability and economic prosperity of communities. With the support of government entities and the private sector, it is expected that initiatives like this will continue to promote the development of bodegas in Peru. The joint efforts between Arca Continental and bodega owners can result in a replicable model that inspires other sectors to work in partnership to overcome challenges and foster economic growth. The recognition of Arca Continental in Peru is undoubtedly an important milestone that highlights the relevance of the bodega sector in the national economy. Collaborations and recognitions of this nature are essential for continuing to build a solid business environment, where all actors benefit and contribute to the comprehensive development of the country.
