The political party Podemos Perú has expressed its willingness to grant a vote of confidence to the Cabinet of Ministers led by Gustavo Adrianzén, as long as fundamental issues for the country are addressed and prioritized. In a meeting between the spokesperson of the mentioned party, José Luna, and Prime Minister Adrianzén, crucial aspects such as citizen security and economic reactivation were discussed. Luna emphasized the urgency of addressing citizen insecurity, a problem that has reached worrying levels. He also highlighted the need to promote economic reactivation to tackle massive unemployment and address social debt, which includes issues such as the reimbursement of funds to Fonavistas, bonuses for pensioners of the ONP and AFP. One key point of the meeting was the possibility of granting powers in citizen security to the Cabinet, which would involve reallocating the public budget to allocate between 8,000 and 10,000 million soles to the fight against insecurity. Adrianzén committed to evaluating this proposal. Regarding the hypothetical departure of the Minister of the Interior, Víctor Torres, Luna clarified that they have not requested his removal, leaving the decision to refresh his management in the hands of the minister himself if he deems it necessary. It is worth noting that the "Rolex" case, in which members of the Cabinet have been involved, was not discussed in the meeting. Adrianzén accompanied the representatives of Podemos Perú to the exit of the PCM, thanking them for their presence before quickly leaving. Adrianzén's round of dialogues with the different parliamentary groups in Congress will continue in the coming days, with Acción Popular and Perú Bicentenario scheduled for Monday, March 25, and Avanza País, Bloque Magisterial, Alianza para el Progreso, and Somos Perú for Tuesday, March 26. It is important to note that some parliamentary groups, such as Cambio Democrático-Juntos por el Perú and Perú Libre, have declined the invitation to meet with the Prime Minister. Amidst these negotiations, the definition of the government's general policy that Adrianzén hopes to share with the absent parliamentary groups in the meetings so far remains pending. The final decision on the vote of confidence will be in the hands of Congress, based on the presentation of the Cabinet and its commitment to the priorities set by the different parliamentary groups.
