Despite some facility challenges, Angel City's purpose-driven approach and commitment to excellence have propelled them to the upper echelons of ambition in the NWSL. The San Diego Wave, buoyed by their success on the field and strategic signings, have emerged as a powerhouse in the league. With plans for a dedicated training facility and a focus on local relevance, the Wave are setting the bar high for other NWSL teams. On the flip side, teams like the Chicago Red Stars and Houston Dash are facing challenges in overcoming historical underinvestment and instability. However, with new ownership and financial commitments, there is hope for a turnaround and renewed ambition within these organizations. The NWSL landscape is evolving rapidly, with teams vying to raise the standard of women's soccer in the U.S. Each club's level of ambition and commitment to growth will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the league.
