Outstanding performances at the Spanish Athletics Championships: Marta García, Adel Mechaal, and others shine on the indoor track

During the Spanish Indoor Athletics Championships, Marta García and Adel Mechaal stood out by defending their titles in the 3,000 meters. García, the national record holder, won the women's category with a time of 8:54.96, while Mechaal dominated the men's race with a time of 8:15.61. On the other hand, Pablo Torrijos shone by securing his seventh title in the triple jump, and Belén Toimil set records by winning her fourth national title in shot put. Malen Ruiz de Azua achieved her fourth title in pole vault, and Carlos Rojas emerged victorious in high jump. The podium of the 60 meters sprint had Sergio López Barranco and Jaël-Sakura Bestué as the winners in the men's and women's categories, respectively. In the triple jump event, Pablo Torrijos claimed victory with a jump of 16.05 meters on his final attempt. Furthermore, María Vicente stood out by winning the bronze in high jump and setting a personal best in the 60 hurdles, just like Paula Sevilla did in the 200 meters. Favorites in the 60 hurdles, Quique Llopis and Asier Martínez, advanced to the next round, and in the 800 meters, Mariano García, Adrián Ben, and Mohamed Attaoui dominated the semifinals in the men's category.
